Friday, October 20

This Friday we have the exciting opportunity to play ManTracker at Still Meadows Ranch! The ranch has a course set up and will be providing 2 horsemen to track you down. Do you think you have what it takes to make it to the finish line?

Admission to this event is: $10/Person (full price is $20/person but the church will be covering half of each youth’s admission)

When: Friday, October 20th at 5:45PM

Where: Still Meadows Ranch (map)

Parents are responsible for driving youth to and from the ranch and are welcome to stay and visit while the youth are playing the game. Sloppy Joes and Hot Chocolate will be served following the game. 

PLEASE DRESS IN WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHING AND PROPER FOOTWEAR. NO OPEN-TOED SHOES WILL BE ALLOWED.

Sunday, October 22

This Sunday we will be fundraising for our youth group with a Youth Auction. Youth will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to do labour. If you are a youth attending SOAR Youth for the 2017-2018 year, you are strongly encouraged to take part in the auction to help raise funds for our activities. Please sign-up no later than Friday, October 20th to be a part of the auction.

This event will be hosted directly after church on Sunday, October 22nd.

Friday, October 27

Join us this Friday for Harvest Nite! This will be a fun evening of family fellowship with board games, appetizers, games for the children, and all around fun for all ages. This is a Family Night and everyone is welcome!

Please bring a snack to share!

Friday, November 3

Join us this Friday for Board Games Blitz!
You’ve played board games but you’ve never played them this fast! Battle it out and win points for your team by racing the timer and playing the fastest rounds you’ve ever played of your favourite board games. Every five minutes, the Gamekeeper will call “SWITCH!”and you will have to race to a new table a pick up the game where the last team left off. You better hope you sit down in the right seat or you could find yourself on the losing side! Come prepared to have an EXTREME amount of fun!

Friday, November 10

This Friday we have the chance to learn how to bake our very own pie with Anne Neufeld from the church. She will be coming in to teach you how to make a pie from start to finish and by the end of the evening you will have a delicious pie to take home with you! Each youth will be required to bring their own apron, pie plate, and pie filling, as well as a select list of ingredients. The ingredients list will be provided closer to the date of this event.

Friday, November 17

This Friday we will be taking the bus to Millennium Place in Sherwood Park to go swimming! Each youth is responsible for paying their fee for swimming as well as a small portion to go towards the bus rental.

When: Please be at the church at 5:45PM. The bus leaves at 6:00PM SHARP. 

Return: We will be leaving the pool at 9:00PM and returning to the church by 9:45PM.
